Sean Treacy

Title: A Critical Analysis of the Energy Performance of LEED Accreditation and a Comparison of Different Level LEED Certifications in a Medical Device Manufacturing Facility

This dissertation evaluated the effect LEED accreditation has had on the performance of certain buildings within Pharmaceutical Facility. As the facility has different levels of certification within the one facility, a comparison of the different certification levels was made in terms of the building’s energy usage and carbon emissions. An analysis was made on the effectiveness of LEED accreditation for the energy usage and reduction in carbon emissions for this facility. Ultimately, this dissertation seeks to find out was LEED accreditation beneficial for this facility from an energy and carbon emissions point of view.

These awards was established to showcase the exceptional work that final year students of the Sustainable Energy Engineering course produce in SETU.
