As part of our apprenticeship programme, Weltec are regularly seeking applications for candidates to join our Electrical, Pipefitting and Plumbing apprentice teams.
Apprenticeship Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Report to site Chargehand/Foreman
- Working Hours: 39 hours per week & overtime when requested.
- As an apprentice you will be required to follow a specific course of training and undergo a series of assessments to confirm that you’ve reached the required standard.
- Attend off-the-job training as required, whilst your on-the-job training will take place on site with Weltec Engineering.
- While attending off the job training, the apprentice will be required to complete a portfolio & series of exams, both theory & practical.
- Be prepared to work on different site locations if/when required.
- All apprentice rates are in line with the electrical & mechanical SEO’s for your relevant apprenticeship.
- Listen and learn from site peers.
Apprentice Electricians Criteria
- Qualified to Leaving Certificate or equivalent standard.
- Must have five passes in the Leaving Certificate (Maths and English must be two of these)
- Must complete an Ishihara colour vision test before starting.
- Have a valid Safe Pass card.
- Have a Manual Handling Certificate.
- Must have an O5 minimum in Leaving Certificate Maths.
- Appointment Subject to interview and reference checks.
Apprentice Plumbers/Pipefitters Criteria
- Qualified to Junior Certificate or equivalent standard.
- Must have five passes in the Leaving Certificate (Maths and English must be two of these).
- Must complete an Ishihara colour vision test before starting.
- Have a valid Safe Pass card.
- Have a Manual Handling Certificate.
- Must have passed at least ordinary level maths.
- Appointment Subject to interview and reference checks.
